2006 Dial-A-Carol Program For more than two decades, the VOCM Cares Foundation has hosted a Sunday afternoon Christmas Carol Program in December on VOCM radio. This program was developed and is held each year in support of the St. John’s Boys and Girls Club. Listeners are given the opportunity to call into the program to pledge their support and in return request their favorite Christmas carol. Listeners via World Wide Web can also support the charity through secure online pledging. |

2006 Happy Tree Project The Salvation Army and the Avalon Mall partner with the VOCM Cares Foundation to collect and distribute toys for needy children aged infant to 18 years.
Happy Tree projects are also done in areas outside the capital city. In these cases, staff members of the local radio stations – CHCM Marystown, CKCM Grand falls Windsor, CKVO Clarenville, and CHVO Carbonear, play a huge role in the successful coordination of the Happy Tree Project for that particular area.

Dial-A-Carol 2007 The annual Dial-A-Carol Program is a long standing tradition for VOCM. For the last 21 years, the program has raised funds for the St. John's Boys and Girls Program. Listeners are invited to pledge their support for the charity while dedicating their favorite Christmas Carol. The 2007 event raised over $15,000 for the St. John's Boys and Girls Clubs. |
