Holiday Giving
We have officially kicked off our holiday season of giving here at VOCM Cares.
We started with one of our oldest and definitely a favourite tradition of our waking up Happy at the Avalon Mall on November 17th with the help of VOCM’s Brian O’Connell and the Salvation Army Newfoundland and Labrador. Happy will be accepting unwrapped gifts and gift cards for children ages 0-18 until the 21st of December.
Registration will take place at the St. John’s Citadel on December 11th from 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-3: 00 pm.
Please remember to bring MCP cards for every member of your family, proof of your current address and proof of your income.
We didn’t just stop there though. The Christmas season wouldn’t be complete without our Dial-A-Carol. This year’s Dial-A-Carol supported the Canadian Mental Health Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. Thanks to all our loyal listeners and donors we were able to raise over $8,000 to help support the many programs and services offered from school-aged children to seniors. We can’t thank you enough for this.
We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the year without you we wouldn’t be able to help as many worthwhile organizations as we have this year.
Thank You!
Don’t forget to join us on December 19th for our Annual Happy Tree concert. Details can be found here!
